Call for Abstracts

Dear friends,

We are happy to invite you all for the 25thAsia Pacific Joint Regional Social Work Conference on Social Work Partnerships towards an Equal Society – Asia Pacific Perspective. The conference will provide opportunity for policy makers, social work practitioners, educators, researchers and students to share their ideas, thoughts, innovations, practice learnings, field actions, research work through their papers, posters and e presentations. The proposals for conducting workshops, symposia, working groups on various themes under the main theme are also invited.

You are requested to submit your abstracts as per the guidelines. This is a great opportunity for you to present your ideas and work before an international panel of experts. The conference also expects and accepts case studies, research studies, survey findings, social action experiences from various fields of social work interventions.

ABSTRACT STRUCTURE:

Submissions for Oral Presentation

Title Minimum 8 words, maximum 25 words (200 characters)
Abstract body The abstract body should be a minimum of 300 characters (approx. 50 words) and cannot contain more than 2,000 characters (approx. 300 words). Blank spaces and punctuation are included. Authors’ affiliation and titles are not included. Oral presentations are usually accompanied by PowerPoint slides. Presentations will be grouped together under the themes and sub themes in parallel sessions.
Timing Oral presentations are allocated 7 to 10 minutes presentation including discussion time.

Submissions for Poster Presentation

Title Minimum 8 words, maximum 25 words
Abstract body The abstract body should be a minimum of 300 characters (approx. 50 words) and cannot contain more than 2,000 characters (approx. 300 words). Blank spaces and punctuation are included. Authors’ affiliation and titles are not included. Poster sessions will be a central part of the APSWC 2019 with regular poster sessions throughout.
Timing Poster presenters will be expected to present during allocated Poster session time slots

Submissions for e-presentation

Title Minimum 8 words, maximum 25 words
Abstract body The abstract body should be a minimum of 300 characters (approx. 50 words) and cannot contain more than 2,000 characters (approx. 300 words). Blank spaces and punctuation are included. Authors’ affiliation and titles are not included. E- Poster sessions will be a central part of the APSWC 2019 with regular poster sessions throughout.
Timing e- presentations will be uploaded at the time of the conference. These presentations will be displayed on TV monitors and can be shared with conference participants digitally.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

The internet abstract submission system works best with Internet Explorer 8.0 or higher version, Mozilla Firefox 5.0 or higher version and Chrome 16 or higher version. Cookies and JavaScript need to be enabled.

GENERAL

  1. Abstracts can only be submitted online via the online abstract submission form that can be found in the section “Abstract�? on the official APSWC 2019 website: https://apswc2019.com/
  2. Abstracts must be submitted in English.
  3. Abstracts sent by post or email will not be accepted. No exceptions will be made.
  4. Previously published abstracts will not be accepted.
  5. Once an abstract is submitted it will be considered as final.

DEFINITIONS

  • Submitting author : person who submits the abstract
  • Presenting author : person who will physically present the abstract at the conference and who is marked as the presenter in the programme.
